Sundays in my City #49 – a Girl’s Dream Weekend

27 Feb

Unknown Mami

Somehow this weekend became girl-child’s dream weekend.  It started with her cashing in one of her Christmas presents – a voucher for a cupcake party for her and some friends (in case I forget – it was the best Christmas gift ever!)  A double batch of cupcakes were made and just waiting for a horde of girls to arrive and decorate them.  With some foresight we moved the decorating outdoors and it was a good thing, there was frosting, sprinkles, m&ms and marshmallows everywhere.  The girls did have fun and the cakes did get decorated eventually so who should I be to complain?

Of course once the cupcakes were decorated, something needed to be done with the left over frosting.  Apparently frosting makes a great facial cleanser!

Before retiring to the park to enjoy the cakes. Then after all the sugar hype and madness followed by an impromptu sleepover she went to see her favourite singer in the entire world, Coby Grant.  Coby is a favourite singer of mine too, if you ever get the chance, check her out.

You should have seen her smile when Coby waved to her and said that she was singing this song, girl-child’s favourite song just for her!  I would have taken more photos but I was working and didn’t have my camera.

That was how we spent our weekend, how was Sunday in your City?  Head over to Unknown Mami to play along or to see what others did in their city.

That is one fabulous Christmas gift idea! The girls did a fab job of decorating and you captured the yumminess beautifully. I might “borrow” this voucher idea in the future– It looks like so much fun.
