Everyone appears to be running out of steam and doing laundry really isn’t high on the list of priorities around here. Doing the washing is one of our least favourite activities, there are 2 aspects that really drive me insane, the first is hanging out the socks and jocks and the second is getting the washing from the line to the respective storage receptacles. As a result, the socks and jocks load is always the last to be washed and all the washing spends far longer on the line that actually required.
It wasn’t until man-child was down to his very last pair of boxers that he felt obligated to throw some washing on. (It appears I am fortunate enough to have a few more pair so he runs out before I do!) Once everything was washed and dried it really really needed to get put away. I sorted into nice neat piles for the owner of said clothing to deposit into their closet. Man-child’s pile was the biggest by far. I am not sure if this was because his boxers, purely by design, are much bigger than the underwear of others or if it is indicative that he wears 3 pair at a time. Girl-child and I both had modest pink piles of underwear but what was in the pile for boy-child to put away? One single solitary pair of boxers! It is clear that no-undie-Sunday extends to most days of the week these days and that the boy enjoys the feeling of freedom!
