Question time

31 Oct

So boy-child has been pretty good all day. Not exactly normal but close to it. He spent much of the day playing with friends and fantasizing about life as a wrestler.
We spent the afternoon in the park with a rather group of friends sharing a picnic to celebrate Halloween. The plan was to let the kids eat too much junk food and run wild. In actual fact boy-child spent his time snuggled on my lap.
Afterwards I went to a friends for dinner but man-child took the boy home to rest. I am not long home and already his temp is up to 39.2 and not as hot to touch as last night (mine is currently 36.7).
The pharmacist was suggesting that over 38 was a trip to the emergency room. I am not sure though. Whilst hot he is not unwell. He is eating and drinking, he is hungry he is just hot and has a headache. I don’t know what to do. The emergency eo is likely to let is sit there all night saying it is just fever and ther is nothing they can do.
For now he is burning up andeatcjimg Toy Story 2, wondering why je can’t have popcorn. I think it is going to be another long night. Should I plan a trip to the emergency room or try wait it out?

What did you end up doing?
I have to say that I wouldn’t go. Mine will often get a temp that high with a virus. Grub was at 40 the other day when I got her up from her nap. Obviously it was a priority to cool her down but it was just a virus so as long as we could get her to cool down their was nothing any doctor could do for her.
