I said I was going to try and use NaBloPoMo to finish stories when in actual fact I have continued to start stories and not finish them. This is the first step in finishing stories.
So on the weekend I mentioned that the boy-folk in our family went on a shopping expedition to buy boy-child an iTouch. They weren’t gone all that long and came back with a shiny new toy for the boy. Through some skillful negotiation they got a great price too.
Shopping strategy – boy style. Firstly they did a price comparison online before actually going out to the shops. They sourced the 3 most likely and reputable suppliers and went out to price match. They entered the third store, the store they anticipated to be the most affordable and straight away said this is the price that store x has offered for a 32g iTouch, can you beat it. Of course they could, just. Man-child then went on to negotiate a cover and a wall charger for it also at a great price. Just as the sales person was about to ring up the purchase, man-child congratulated boy-child on his wonderful effort of saving his pocket money for 40 weeks to be able to afford it all by himself. The sales person was so impressed with the savings effort that he sold it to boy-child for cost!
And is there a moral to this story? Probably not, but kids are darn good at getting what they want, why not use it to your advantage when shopping, it may just help you too!
Oh and look, boy-child looks super happy after he has his new toy!

The Proud Owner of 32 Gig!
He still grins like a maniac when he talks about his iTouch.

My son recently bought himself an i Touch with his saved money also, while we were on holiday in Hong Kong. He is so proud of it, more so than if I had bought it for him.
I hope your son has many hours of fun with his, but doesn’t get so engrossed by it that he neglects his chores as my son has done!
